Dora Hayat
About
Dora Hayat is a French industrial designer who graduated from ECAL with a Bachelor of Industrial Design (2020) and from the Royal College of Art with a Master of Design Product (2024). She also joined the French incubator of Arts et Métiers (2022-23) to develop and market her end-of-study Bachelor project.
Her work focuses on rethinking and developing everyday product for sustainable living. In her design process, she aims to create long-lasting products by developing flexible and interactive objects that adapt to the user’s evolving needs, incorporating repairability and recyclability. She likes to combine mechanical systems, pleasure of use and pure aesthetic language, with a focus on details and quality, to empower users to interact with the product.
Her background in industrial design enables her to find simple technical and manufacturing solutions, to imagine products that will accompany users for a long period of time.
